THIS PAGE IS FOR ALL THE WONDERFUL HILLSIDE GOLDEN RETRIEVERS THAT MADE AN IMPACT ON THEIR FAMILY.   WE  WERE SO GLAD THAT THESE DOGS HAD SUCH WONDERFUL FAMILIES.  WE THANK THE OWNERS FOR PROVIDING THE LOVE AND CARE TO OUR PUPPIES & DOGS.  (Each dog will have a tribute up for viewing for at least six months from time of passing as a tribute to these dogs and we invite the owner to write tribute).

  HILLSIDE SUGAR SPRING SAGE MOLLY
 "Molly"
(1-31-1997 - !0-29-11)
(INT CH WYLWIND THE FIRST ENDING CD TD NA -maj ptd & INT CH Hillside Firecracker CD TD)

Sharon, As you know we lost Molly October 29, 2011she was 14 1/2 years old. Molly was out  of Wylwind the First Ending CD TD and Hillside's Firecracker CD TD. She was was born January 31, 1997 and was out of the spice litter, (Hillside Sugar Spring Sage Molly).
Not only was it love at first sight between my family and Molly it was also the beginning of a long and wonderful friendship with your family!
You suggested I write a tribute to Molly...which I have sat down many times to do...I could never get the words to express Mollys spirit, grace and accomplishments adequately. Anything lacking in Mollys accomplishments are our fault...never Mollys. Molly did what we asked of her never hesitating always giving.
I have one word to describe Molly Rue..simply put...Molly is LOVE! The definition of love is...Love is a virtue representing all human kindness, compassion and affection. The only problem with that definition is it says human kindness....Molly must have been more than human because she excelled at all of virtues!
She never met a stranger, was always a happy bouncy girl loving every person  or animal she met...and making all who saw her smile and give her a scratch and pat.
Molly gave us so much and made us better people by simply being in our lives. As Molly got older she loved to float on a raft at the lake, snuggle in our arms, take car rides and mostly be loved and cherished by all of her friends and family.
A bit ago I went to the pet garden to visit Molly (she has cabbage roses and pansys on her bed), I told her she is forever loved and girlfriend I will see you at the bridge.  What a wonderful girl.
Sharon, thank you for bringing such love into our lives.                          Dorothy Northern

HILLSIDE WANDERIN' EASTER EGG CDX RE SH CCA VC
"Gypsy"
(4-18-2006 to 7-5-2011)
(CH Hytree's Ryd-N-Out The Storm OS SDHF & Hillside Cold Treat)

"Gypsy" was always so full of life, really to give it her all.   As a puppy, she was spoken for twice and the buyer had to back out..so I took her to field train with me...She jumped in the water like she did it all her life.  My friend, Yvonne, was drooling on how great this puppy was, so I sent her home with her.  Never regretted that decision. She was from the "Egg" litter and I was co-breeder of...Yvonne named her Wanderin Easter Egg since she was born on Easter and seem to have no home when she went home with her.   "Gypsy" & Yvonne wenton to achieve titles in field :WC & WCX in same day, a SH with 3 legs on MH,in Obedience:a CDX, in rally a RE.\In conformation:, CCA , and In Agility: a leg on JWW.... This girl was every sense of the word VERSATILITY.  She never had any puppies because too busy with other stuff.  Yvonne will deeply miss her.....

Memories........  Gypsy 04-16-06 to 07-05-11
"Hey, hey..... hey-yup!! I yelled, as I threw two long  bumpers for Hooker and Truman. Then, I heard three splashes, not two.  Gypsy, that 12 week old puppy, had bravely jumped into the pond trying to compete with the older dogs that were swimming for fun bumpers! I hurriedly threw a third bumper over her head hoping she would not try to follow the older dogs into deep water.  She returned to me with that bumper which was too large for her little mouth.  Her first time in the water was a surprise to all of us and to herself. I talked Sharon into letting me take that puppy home with me for just one week.  That one week became five years of fun, enjoyment and lots of love.
She gave and gave and gave...... always trying to please.   At 8 months of age she titled in Obedience Novice.  She titled in Obedience Open. Then came Rally titles, Agility trials, WC/WCX and the the love of her life was the hunt tests, both AKC and HRC.
At the present time, she needs 1 pass for a HRC Champion title, and 2 passes for an AKC Master Hunter title.  I certainly hope she can attain those on the other side of the Rainbow Bridge because she crossed it today.
I realized something might be wrong during her last hunt test. She retrieved the duck from the pond, but seemed to use it as a floating device to help her get back to the handler. Today, four weeks later cancer took her life.
Thanks to everyone who so patiently helped me with her training.  I know she is waiting for our "HEY, Hey, Hey-yup!",  at the other side of the Rainbow Bridge.

EVERY CLOUD DOES HAVE A SILVER LINING
**********************************************************************
"My best friend closed her eyes last night,
As her head was in my hand.
The Doctors said she was in pain,
And it was hard for her to stand.
The thoughts that scurried through my head,
as I cradled her in my arms,
Were of her younger, puppy years,
And Oh!...her many charms.
Today, there was no gentle nudge,
With an intense "I Love YOU" gaze.
Only a heart that's filled with tears,
Remembering our joy-filled days.
But, an Angel just appeared to me,
And he said, "CRY NO MORE,
GOD also loves our canine friends...

He's installed a "doggy door".
